QUALAS Closing Event:
launch of tools and training module
After months of intensive collaboration, the project will be festively concluded with an inspiring closing event. On Friday 22 May 2026, project partners, stakeholders, colleagues and other interested parties will be welcomed at the Main Campus of Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Brussel. During the day, the journey taken together will be reflected on, the most important results and lessons learned will be shared, and the opportunities that lie ahead for the future will be highlighted.
Visitors can expect a brief retrospective, clear presentations on impact and results, an inspiring keynote and the launch of all available developed materials. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network with involved partners and new contacts. In a warm, informal atmosphere, there is room to meet, ask questions and explore possible next steps.

Program Closing Event
09:00 – 09:30 | Walk-in & welcome📍
A welcoming arrival with coffee and tea. Registration at the reception desk and time to start getting to know other participants and the hosts informally.
09:30 – 09:35 | Official opening 🎤
Welcome by the day hosts, a brief introduction to the program and practical information. Explanation of the key themes of the day and what participants can expect.
09:35 – 10:00 | Project setup and objectives 🎯
Introduction of the project setup and objectives by the project coordinators, and introduction of project partners.
10:00– 10:45 | Conceptual framework and case study findings 🧠
Brief overview of all core aspects related to the research project, and findings from the case studies in all partner countries.
10:45 – 11:15 | Coffee break ☕
Short break with coffee, tea and a snack. Informal first networking opportunity.
11:15 – 12:30 | Keynote session 🎤👥
Keynote address by prof. dr. Roos Van Gasse on data use and collaborative learning in education. The moderator leads the conversation and involves the audience with a few questions.
12:30 – 13:30 | Lunch break 🥪
Sandwich lunch with time to network and exchange experiences. Opportunity to have informal conversations with speakers, hosts and other participants.
13:30 – 14:45 | Launch of tools and training module 🧩
Presentation of the developed tools and training module for the field of practice. Participants are getting insights in the use of tools and how these can be integrated in a trajectory of professional development.
14:45 – 15:00 | Project evaluation & Closing ✅
Short address about the project evaluation in general, and the closing event in particular. Words of thanks to participants, partners and speakers by the host. Practical information about materials, reporting and how to stay in contact after the event.
15:00 – 16:00 | Drinks & networking 🥂
Informal closing drinks with beverages and snacks. An opportunity to reflect on the day, make new connections, and schedule follow-up initiatives or collaborations.
