Tools and training materials for schools
The QUALAS project has developed a set of practical, open-access tools and training materials to support the use of Learning Analytics for Quality Assurance and School Self-Evaluation in secondary education.
These resources translate the research and insights developed throughout the QUALAS project into materials that can be used by school leaders, teachers, quality assurance teams, trainers and other education professionals.
The materials can be used as part of the complete QUALAS training programme or selected individually according to the needs and context of a school.
User Guide for QUALAS Trainers
The QUALAS Training is an interactive programme designed to build schools' capacity to use learning analytics as part of evidence-informed quality assurance and school improvement.
The training introduces participants to Quality Assurance and Evidence-Informed Decision-Making before exploring Learning Analytics, its applications within the Quality Assurance cycle, and the organisational, pedagogical, technological, ethical and legal considerations involved in its implementation. The User Guide supports trainers in delivering the QUALAS Training Module. It provides the core content for each unit, guidance on using the accompanying tools, proposed learning activities and discussions, and suggested timings.
It can be used to deliver the complete programme or to adapt individual sections and activities to a specific training context.
The complete programme takes approximately 6–7 hours and can be adapted to different educational contexts.

From evidence to school improvement
The QUALAS materials are designed to support a collaborative and evidence-informed approach to school improvement. Learning analytics is not presented as a replacement for professional judgement. Instead, it provides additional evidence that school teams can interpret together to better understand their context, inform decisions and support continuous improvement.
